Trip to Wilmington, NC

 The Hotel Room.
Kailyn got to sleep on the pull-out sofa all by herself..what a big girl!  Jovie slept next to her in the port-a-crib.  Kailyn and I enjoyed the Continental Breakfast while dad and Jovie slept a little longer.  Kailyn was so excited to have Fruit Loops for breakfast that morning!  Then we made our way to the beach, we only stayed for a little bit.  Let's just say that we like Huntington Beach better..the sand isn't so rocky/shelly.  Then we went to the car dealership and left with a white Dodge Grand Caravan.  We really like it. I think our favorite feature are the power sliding doors.  They are great! :)  It was a fun, fast trip and now we are a 2 car family again.  With Jeremy starting rotations June 29th, we thought it would be a good idea, so, there you go. :)

2 Down 2 To Go!!!!

Jeremy took his last final  last week!!  Now it is time to study for the Boards...but first us wives decided we needed to take an afternoon and celebrate our husbands finishing 2 years of Med School with 2 year of rotations left!! So me and my friends, Jen and Laura decided to decorate Rods car and leave some information inside that instructed him to gather up Jeremy and Austin and go on a picture taking goose hunt.

We must have done a good job at keeping a secret, because they were surprised & excited.

We snuck into the parking lot & wrote all over Rod's car.
"Our Wives Rock!"
"D.O.s do it better!"
"How good? Sooo Good!"
"Hoff"
a few inside jokes from the past 2 years.
we put Oreos all over & streamers draped in & out.

Inside the car we put a series of clues to lead them to their surprise.
The boys had to complete the tasks in order & take photos as evidence.

Rod got the guys together & the fun began.

so they completed task #1, but decided they would "do you one better"
& take ridiculous pictures of their adventure. They made sure to involve some people they passed in the process. Looks like they had some fun!

"Hoffed" V. to change the wallpaper of another's computer
in attempt to provoke laughter or anger.
(example: someone might put a picture of david haselhoff shirtless on austin's computer.
or a picture of barrack obama & hillary clinton on Rods.)
( Jeremy is known as the Hoff King...he started it, & even hoffed a hotel computer last year.)

we finished the night off with watching a slide show of the pictures they took for us.
It was a great way to celebrate what the guys have accomplished so far...
not to mention the great friendships we have all made
with each other!

I love these families.

Local Yokels

A few weeks ago we went to the local carnival that was set up in the Middlesboro, KY mall parking lot.  We drove by it a few days before hand and Kailyn noticed the Ferris Wheel, which Todd and Copper ride in "Fox and the Hound 2".  She wouldn't stop talking about the Ferris Wheel until we went on it.  We went with some friends, whom we love!! Jeremy stayed at home to study for his last final.  We missed him. Everytime we got on a ride Kailyn would be excited and then right before the ride started she would get a nervous look on her face, but once the ride started she was all smiles. :)  It was really cute to watch and see that she is becoming a little more brave!
Here is her nervous, almost to tears face...and this was on the merry go round... :)
Sweet little Payton...Kailyn loves her
The crew...at least the kids big enough to go on the rides
 Tre, Payton, Kailyn, Jaxon

The Stroller Sitters
Britton, Ashton, Jovie

Kailyn loved the car ride..she rode it twice and the first time,
the attendant had to ask for "parental assistance" to get her off and out of the ride.
She just kept climbing on the cars instead of walking out. ha ha

  Jovie chilling in the Stroller

What is a KY carnival without seeing a local with a tattoo of a
spider crawling into his ear and wearing spurs.... I love this place..
A happy group of girls going home to daddy!
