The Love of Sisters

Seriously, I love watching Kailyn with Jovie. She always wants to play with her. Whenever Jovie is in the chair and Kailyn is watching a show she will push the chair up to the TV and either stand or sit next to Jovie. When I ask her what she is doing she replies "just watching a show with Jovie." (So cute!) Kailyn always wants to help hold the bottle in Jovie's mouth or pat her back to help her burp. Lately Kailyn has been trying to make Jovie smile at her and Jovie is eager to do just that. I have loved watching this sisterly love grow in the short 3 months that we have had Jovie, but yesterday I knew it was a bond that will never be broken when from the kitchen I heard Kailyn ask Jovie, "Jovie, you want my purple-ee?" Now, for those of you who know, Kailyn loves her purple-ee, she sleeps with it, travels with it, takes it on long car rides. And for her to offer it to Jovie almost blew me away!!! She really does love Jovie. I hope this bond continues to grow and become stronger because I love my sisters to death we are such great friends and I hope that Kailyn and Jovie are the same because I wouldn't have it any other way. Yeah for Sisters!!!!

I am Thankful!

Yeah, I meant to post this on Thanksgiving, but I was having too much fun with family and friends and the Turkey pinata. And then too busy the rest of our weekend in Pittsburgh! We had so much fun with Chris, Jaimee and family. It was great to be able to go and visit with them and their kids and their friends! They are awesome!

Anyway, to the point of this post... One day I was sitting on our couch feeding Jovie and watching TV and feeling a little overwhelmed when my eyes wandered upward to a picture of me and Jeremy, one of Kailyn and Jovie and my 'Give Thanks' sign. It was quite a comfort that day because although sometimes I feel overwhelmed, quite tired, and missing my husband (Med School) I realized at that moment, again, how blessed I am and how thankful I am to be where I am right now with our little family and Heavenly Father watching over us and our amazing families who support us in our life and journey here in Tennessee. What more could I ask for? And I know that Jeremy would agree so I guess I should say, what more caould we ask for? We are so blessed and we are so, so thankful for those blessings!

Turkey Pinata

Only 2 days until Thanksgiving and we are leaving tomorrow to drive to Pittsburgh to be with my brother Chris, his wife, Jaimee, and there kids for the Holiday. I decided to bring a pinata since it was a yearly tradition at the Andreason family reunions growing up and we are missing that family reunion this year. :( Well, I decided to make one after getting the idea from my friend Laura. Here is the finished product. Not too bad if I do say so myself! I hope all the kids have fun wacking it to pieces!!

Rainy Day

We had a rainy day last week, which we loved! Now it is really cold and rainy/snowy. But last week Kailyn wanted to play in the rain so Jeremy got dressed and then decked Kailyn out in her rain coat and they went splashing in the puddles and walking in the rain. They were so cute. Kailyn was constantly holding daddy's hand. She loves the puddles and trying to catch the rain. After I took a few pictures of them I decided I wanted to play too so I went out without shoes and without a jacket, I mean really...who needs um? It was a fun time!

A Few Funny Things

These may only be funny to me, but I thought I would share

Funny Thing #2

One of Kailyn's favorite things right now is to pop the bubbles on bubble wrap. It keep her occupied for quite awhile. She will always ask for bubbles and if we tell her she can play with them in the morning the first thing out of her mouth when she wakes up will be "I need bubbles." So, Jeremy and I bought her a big roll of bubble wrap (one of the cheapest toys). The other day Kailyn was down stairs watching a show and I was upstairs getting ready for the day. When I came down stairs she was sitting in her chair watching her show and holding the entire roll of bubble wrap (I don't even know how she got it. It's usually up on the top shelf of the closet) , but the funny part was when she saw me she said "I need more bubbles mommy." There were no more to be had and plenty left to pop.

Funny Thing #2


Earlier this week I went with my friends Lorraine and Rebecca down to Knoxville for the day. On the way to Knoxville we drive through a city called Fountain City. We stopped at a red light and saw an Optometrist's office with this sign out front. Now I like Sarah Palin and all, but this had us all laughing. Do you think business increased just because of this?

Jovie's Special Day!!

Jovie was blessed this last Sunday, November 2, 2008 in the Cumberland Gap Ward!

It was such a special day! My mom and dad were able to come and although Jeremy's parents couldn't make it, we know they were there in spirit!! :) Jovie was so good during the blessing. She had just finished her bottle and I was almost expecting her to spit up right in the middle of the blessing, but we didn't hear anything from her while Jeremy was speaking.

It is such a blessing to have the Gospel in our lives and to know that the Priesthood Power has been restored to the earth for our benefit. We feel the Lord's hand in our lives everday and are so thankful for that comfort!

Happy Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! WA HA HA HA !!!

Halloween started at our house with what else, but food?

We had Chili, "Halloweenies", fruit, veggies, baked potato salad, chips, drinks.

It was very yummy and very fun with many of our close friends here in the Harrogate area.

I think in total there were 21 people here! PARTY!!! We love our friends and were so glad we could all get together.

Before going down our street for some trick or treating we tried taking a group picture of all the kids. It was not very successful as you can see because we put them facing the sun (bad idea) but once they were all in place we figured it would be too hard to move all of them somewhere else. Oh well, they are cute no matter what.

Here is Kailyn as Dora!!

It is hard to tell in the picture but we sparyed her hair black, which was a mess. Jeremy and I had never used that color hairspray before and didn't realize that everything her hair would touch, the black would rub off on. Which is why I ended up putting her hair up so it would stop making her face all black. She didn't care, though. She was ready for some candy! I had to wash her hair 5 times and even then the soap was coming out a little bit gray! Ha ha! She was such a good sport.

Painting Kailyn's Pumpkin

Yes, we went to the pumpkin patch but came away without pumpkins
so, I took Kailyn to a place down the street for us to pick out pumpkins.
The one she picked is just her size.

So we went home to paint her pumpkin.

Some ended up on her face. I even tried to get her to put her hands on her face to get

dirtier, but she wouldn't do it. I think she is OCD about being clean...is it bad to want your kid to

want to get dirty and have fun doing it? Here is the finished product. She had a blast and now loves pumpkins

which can be Ketchup, salsa, syrup, salad dressing, etc. The pumpkin patch

had a snack/craft area and Jeremy found chocolate covered

marshmallows covered in sprinkles and they were called "dippies".

Perfect for Kailyn. She really enjoyed eating this snack before leaving the pumpkin patch.

Kailyn and Her Dora Ball Visit the Park

Okay so Kailyn and I took a trip to the park yesterday and she wanted to bring her Dora ball. I told her she could thinking we could kick the ball back and forth on the grass, little did I know that she wanted to go on the swings and basically stay on the swings for almost an hour!!! There were times where she started to look almost sad so i asked if she wanted to get down and she would respond "No, I just swinging." So we kepy swinging. There was one time that she said she wanted to get down, but it was only for her to pick up the Dora ball, put it in the swing and push it. She then wanted to get back in her swing and asked me to push both her and the Dora ball. I did and I am pretty sure that everyone who saw me thought that either I was crazy or my daugther was crazy. I thought it was hilarious. Anytime I stopped pushing the Dora ball, Kailyn would remind that I needed to push it again. What a funny girl.

Jeremy's 33rd Birthday!!!!

Today is Jeremy's birthday!! 33....he is soooo old. ha ha. Since it is Sunday, it was pretty low key but fun. All he wanted was Orange Chicken for dinner and homemade cheesecake for dessert (his mom has the best recipe). He is so easy to please. :) Kailyn gave him some balloons this morning that she wanted to play with more than anything and he got breakfast made by me and Kailyn. Other than that, we went to church, delivered some of the cheesecake to our neighbors, and watched some TV. Anyway, this is a shout out to JEREMY!! A fun loving, hardworking, hard studying, husband and father whom we all love to death!!! We are so blessed to have him!

Joey's first stage dive

So my nephew Joey was able to go with Brandon and Kellie to an Aquabats show where he was able to be on stage and sing and dance with the band. For those of you who don't know Joey he loves having a microphone and singing as well as being in front of people. He definitely does not have stage fright. He was also given the opportunity to do his first stage dive and took it! Here are some pretty cool pictures from the show! Go Joey!!! You are awesome! We love you!!!

Visit from Shanz!!

I thought we were blessed with a visit from mom and then we were blessed even more when Shanna decided to come out and visit us in Tennessee! She was such a huge help with Jovie and letting me get additional rest. Kailyn loves Aunt Shanna and had a lot of fun coloring and going to the park with her. I had fun just having my sister around! She kept telling me to go lay down and rest but all I wanted to do was play with her. :) Here are some pictures from her visit, we should have taken more. Thanks Shanna for coming all the way to see us and help out!

Nonnie's visit

My mom was so gracious to come out for Jovie's birth and to help me the first few weeks after delivery. Kailyn was sooo excited for Nonnie to be here and loved playing with her cell phone and accidentally calling Aunt Katie quite a few times (sorry about that). She also got some Dora pajamas and a Dora blanket from Nonnie. I certainly appreciated Nonnie's help and a lot of extra sleep that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise...Jovie might be confused once Nonnie is gone and I am feeding her at night.
